Enlarging an Architectural Schematic 放大建筑示意图
Before building a model students will need to redraw their architectural schematic at the appropriate scale. The original designs were drawn at a scale of 1:100 while the model will be built at a scale of 1:50. The conversions will be relatively straight forward as all measurements need to be multiplied by a factor of 2.

At this time students may want to make a few small modifications to their designs. For instance, rounding measurements to the nearest half centimetre will make it easier to use the provided grid to design and build the model. Furthermore, rounding measurements will also make it easier to calculate the final area of the model once the design is complete. Finally, some minor modifications may also be needed if the original designs exceeded the recommended maximums that were stated in the previous activity.

Once the new designs have been completed students can mount their design on a sheet of KT foam-board and then neatly trim the edges.
