Building a Model 建造模型

In order to build a scale model students should redraw their original designs that were completed using the A4 design template (Scale of 1:100) using the A3 design template at a scale of 1:50. At this time students may also want to make a few modifications to their designs if they have though of any changes that would improve their original design. Alternatively students may need to make a few modifications to their designs if they exceed the maximum size restrictions that were stated in the previous activity.

建造模型首先需要以1:50的比例在A3模板上重新绘制之前以1:100的比例在A4模板上的设计,同时可能会有一些小的改动,如果超过尺寸限制的话也是需要进行改动的。

When completing these enlarged drawing students will also want to consider the width of the wall. The KT foam-board is 5mm thick so wall should be drawn with this thickness in mind. The grid for this template is a 5mm dot grid so it is very easy to determine the size of the walls using the provided grid. It is also recommend that students round all their measurements to the nearest half centimetres to make it easier to draw the revised apparent design using the graph paper template.

当完成放大比例绘制时,学生也要考虑墙壁的宽度。KT泡沫板的厚度为5毫米,因此在绘制墙壁时应牢记该厚度。此模板的网格为5mm点网格,那么使用提供的网格很容易确定墙的大小。还建议学生将所有测量值四舍五入至最接近的半厘米,以便更容易使用图纸模板绘制修改后的外观设计。

The final scale of the walls will be 5mm multiplied by a scale of 1:50 which results in a actual wall thickness of 25cm, and this is very close to the average thickness of many apartment walls in China; therefore, the paring of the selected materials and the given scale is a perfect representation of reality.

墙体的最终是5mm乘以1:50的比例,实际墙体厚度为25cm,这与中国许多公寓墙体的平均厚度非常接近;因此,所选材料和给定比例的配对是对现实的完美表现。
