Register for a free student account using your email address.

Launch the “CircutLab” simulator and try to build the following circuit design.

Find the electrical components such as: battery, resistor, capacitor, switch, transistor, and LEDs in the “item panel” on the left side of the program screen.

Drag and drop the component you want to use in your circuit design to the work area in the centre of your screen.

Click on a component and then drag a wire along the path that you want it to follow in order to connect multiple components in your design together.

Project Extension

For an added challenge you may want to have the students do a screen recording as they build their circuit. Then have them do a quick edit to the video to make it more interesting to watch. Speed the video up, add some titles, and some music. This process can make technical task much more interesting and creates something worth showcasing. It is also a great way for you as a teacher to be able to see their what mistakes were made and how they resolved their own problems in a matter of seconds. As such, video extensions become a great way to assess student learning while also showcasing the students work to the entire school.
