An essay at this level largely accomplishes all of the following:
该等级的文章会达到以下几点:

  • Effectively addresses the topic questions;
    主题明确;
  • Is well organized and developed and uses clear explanations, and/or details to support responses in the essay;
    结构清晰,解释明确,并有具体细节支撑文章;
  • Displays unity, progression, and coherence throughout the essay;
    具有很好的统一性、发展性和连贯性;
  • Displays consistent and appropriate use of the English language. The essay demonstrates syntactic variety and appropriate word choices.
    恰当地运用英语语言,呈现句法的多样化和用词的准确性。

An essay at this level largely accomplishes all of the following:
该等级的文章会达到以下几点: 

  • Addresses the topic questions well, but some points may be underdeveloped;
    主题较明确,但不够充分;
  • Is generally well organized and developed and using appropriate explanations and/or details to support responses in the essay;
    结构较清晰,解释较明确,并有具体细节支撑文章;
  • Displays unity, progression and coherence, but may contain occasional redundancies, digressions, or unclear connections;
    具有统一性、发展性和连贯性,偶尔可见冗长、偏题或衔接不自然
  • Displays a good use of the English language. The essay demonstrates syntactic variety and range of vocabulary, but has occasional errors in structure and word choices that do not interfere with understanding the indented meaning of the essay.
    较恰当地运用英语语言,有一定的句法多样化和用词准确性,偶尔可见句子结构不清晰和用词不当。

An essay at this level is marked by one or more of the following:
该等级的文章会有以下其中一点或几点:

  • Addresses the topic questions with partially developed explanations or limited details to support the responses in the essay;
    主题较明确,但支撑细节不够充分;
  • Displays unity, progression and coherence, but the connection between ideas may be occasionally obscured;
    有统一性、发展性和连贯性,但衔接模糊;
  • May demonstrate inconsistencies in sentence structure or formation that may result in lack a of clarity that obscures the intended meaning;
    句子结构组成不够清晰;
  • May display an accurate but limited range of vocabulary usage.
    正确但有限的恰当用词。

An essay at this level may reveal one or more of the following weaknesses:
该等级的文章会有以下其中一点或几点: 

  • Limited development in the response to the topic questions;
    主题不够明确,无具体细节
  • Inappropriate or insufficient explanations, and/or limited details to support the response in the essay;
    解释不合理,具体细节较少;
  • Inadequate organization, no connection between ideas, or ideas are listed;
    组织不充分,无衔接 
  • An accumulation of errors in sentence structure and/or inappropriate word choices which make it difficult to understand the essay.
    句子结构较混乱,较多用词不恰当。

An essay at this level is seriously flawed:
该等级的文章存在很大问题:

  • Fails to properly address the topic questions;
    主题不明确;
  • Serious disorganization or underdevelopment with limited explanations to support essay responses;
    结构不清晰,解释不明确;
  • Little or no details or questionable responses to the topic questions;
    无具体细节;
  • Serious and frequent errors in sentence structure or word usage. 
    句子结构混乱,用词不恰当。

An essay at this level does not meet expectations:
该等级的文章没有达到标准:

  • merely copies words from the topic, rejects the topic, or is otherwise not connected to the topic, is written in a foreign language, or is blank. 
    偏题或跑题,用英语以外的语言表达,或空白。
