Character Adjectives 人物形容词

An adjective is used to modify the noun(s) or pronoun(s) that are used in a sentence. Without adjectives sentences are very plain and simple. Therefore, adjectives are very important because they make the sentence more descriptive and interesting. Moreover, an adjective can be modified to create the comparative or superlative adjective forms. The comparative adjective form compares one noun or pronoun to another, whereas the superlative adjective form compares three or more adjectives.

形容词是用来修饰名词或代词的词在。没有形容词的句子读起来枯燥无味。形容词让句子更加具体生动。此外，形容词还有比较级和最高级的形式。比较两个物体时用形容词的比较级，比较三个或三个以上物体时用形容词的最高级。

Introduction To Character Adjective 人物形容词介绍

‘Character adjectives’ are very important; however unlike general adjectives ‘character adjectives’ are used specifically to describe a persons personality, character, or their personal traits. Therefore, ‘character adjectives’ are very useful when writing about people. You can use ‘character adjectives’ to write about your self or about someone else. Look at the example below to see how a ‘character adjective’ can be used to describe a person, and how ‘character adjectives’ can be used as either an: regular ‘adjective’, ‘comparative adjective’, or as a ‘superlative adjective’.

Adjective: Tom is a generous person.

Instructions: Identify 20 different adjectives from the list of ’75 Character Adjectives’ that you think describe you well. Then rate these adjectives in the order you think describes you the best (rank the adjectives that you selected in ascending order with #1 being the adjective that describes you the best, #2 the adjective that describes the second best etc.). Then write a description of why you think that adjective describes you well.

Character Adjective Activity # 2 人物形容词活动# 2

Instructions: Write a 300-500 word autobiography using the ‘character adjectives’ that you learnt in this project. Make sure that you look at, and use the ideas that you came up with when you determined the 10 character adjectives that you felt described you the best. You are also required to clearly identify all of the ‘character adjectives’ that you use in your autobiography: you can write the ‘character adjectives’  in a different colour, or you can underline them.
