Introduction to an Interactive Gameshow Presentation 交互式游戏演示文稿简介

In this project you will create an interactive Power Point Presentation. This presentation will function similar to many popular TV gameshows like Jeopardy. In order to create interactive elements in the presentations the use of in-document hyperlinking techniques will be used. The concept of using in-document hyperlinking  will be introduced in subsequent lessons. The concept behind using hyperlinks to create interactivity in a document is also very similar to how your favourite websites operate. This skill of using hyperlinks will be a useful skill that you will  use and develop when making your interactive presentation project, but it is also a skill that you will explore in-depth when developing websites using HTML.

However, before you can start creating interactive elements for your presentation you will need to develop a series questions for your gameshow. Different slides will present new problems for the audience to solve in order to complete the game. By using in-document hyperlinks you will create an interactive presentation that will let the audience select from series of possible answers for each question. If the right answer is selected then the viewer will be redirected to a slide that indicates that the viewer selected the correct answer. If the viewer selects the correct answer they will be given the options to advance to the next question; however if the wrong answer is selected the presentation will redirect the viewer to a different slide that indicates the wrong answer was selected. The audience will then be given another chance to try the question again.

For your gameshow presentation you will need to create a minimum of 10 questions. Remember that your reading on “Effective Presentations: Creating Great Ideas” indicated that there are 3 levels of ideas.

1. Low Grade Ideas are basic facts.
   低阶问题即基本事实
2. Medium Grade Ideas are more elaborate and show relationships.

3. High Grade Ideas are more complex and exploratory. These ideas involve analysis and critical thinking and engage people’s interests.

When thinking of the questions you will use in your gameshow presentation, you should focus on only using high-grade ideas. Remember that your questions must all relate to the subject topic that you outlined in your “Presentation Proposal” you completed in the last class.

Note: True or false questions are not difficult enough to make the game challenging, so do not use true or false questions in your presentation. Multiple choice questions which have about 4 different choices are ideal for this project.

For the start of the next class you will draft a text document with a minimum of 10 high-grade multiple choice questions for your gameshow presentation. Each question must be related to your chosen topic. Each question should have 4 or more choices to choose from and a statement that elaborates on the correct answer. Your document will be formatted using the MLA format.

Your project will require the following:

1. Change the document type to the A4 paper size.

2. Include a header with your last name and an auto page number.

3. Include a project leader with: your full name, teacher’s name, the date, and class.

It is highly recommended that you print a copy of your gameshow questions and have a subject teacher proofread your work before you start assembling the different elements of your interactive presentation project.
