In this unit you will be introduced to different theories related to the creation of effective presentations. You are required to read each of these readings related to presentation theory, understand the key ideas of readings, and apply what you have learnt.

There will only be one large project for this unit, but the project will be divided into smaller sub sections. You will be required to complete each section of the project by the specified due dates. Once you have completed your project you will have applied several different presentation theories to create an interactive presentation over several classes. Each class will build upon the work that you have completed in earlier classes so it is important to stay up-to-date with your work at every stage of this project.

Your presentation project will require you to effectively utilize the ideas presented in the required readings, and apply various concepts that are covered in class. By the end of the project you will have a better understanding of how to use common features that are built into various presentation software platforms in new and creative ways to create stunning interactive presentations. You will also supplement your final project with graphic elements that will be provided by the teacher along with other elements form various online sources.

Topic Proposal 主题提案
Your presentation must be on a subject that you are currently studying at school. You may choose any academic subject that you are studying with the exception of computers for your project. Several examples of possible subject topics have been provided below to give you an idea of different topics you might select for your interactive gameshow presentation.

Project Instructions 项目说明
In this class you will write a one page proposal to your teacher indicating the subject area and the specific topic you want to focus your project on. You should also indicate why you want to do this topic and identify what teacher you can ask for help if you need to clarify anything in your presentation. Your proposal should be formatted using MLA regulations and should be approximately 1 page (double spaced, size 12 pt. Times New Roman, or Arial).
